Judy was born in Calcutta, India, where she lived with her parents until the age of two. Her parents then moved to Calgary, where Judy spent most of  her formative years and raised her 2 children. She is a self taught artist, and also had a 35 year Nursing career. Now retired, her focus is on her passion for painting and art.

Judy has explored many mediums, including encaustics, watercolours, acrylics and oils. Her subject matter has also been variable from cityscapes, to landscapes, to crows, florals and now, her abstract faces. Her love of Impressionism is always evident in whatever subject she chooses to portray. Her work is constantly changing and evolving.

Judy has participated in many workshops and classes over the years, with Jean Pederson, Doug Swinton, Robert Burridge, Alex Fong and Tim Hoey. She has also offered team building exercises to Corporations, Hospice Calgary, Living with Cancer Program and also with mentally and physically challenged individuals.
