Karin Wardle is a self-taught artist, working in watercolour and acrylic paint. She has lived in different places across Canada, Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary and currently lives in the East Kootenays.

Inspired by Winslow Homer, John Singer Sargent, John Turner in her art she is reacting to beauty around her in the mountains, pathways, rivers, skies, lakes and people who are at home there. Seeing the hand and mind of a creative God in the world around her, she is filled with passion to share her interpretation of a dance, a rhythm, a playfulness she sees there.

Karin has been painting portraits of people, animals, and even boats, since 2003.  She paints from photo references of subjects.
