Elaine and Andy Alfoldy are inspired by the Kootenay surroundings which can be seen on their lovely watercolours on tissue and on traditional watercolour papers, acrylics and collages on canvas.
“When I paint, I am capturing a mood, atmosphere and a special memory. I enjoy connecting with people through my paintings and enjoy hearing how my work can stir their emotions. That is such a reward for me when that happens. Bringing someone to a special place through my art is a bonus and sharing the beauty of our natural world.”
"It is the colours and fragrance that make me feel alive and I thank my Creator for this beautiful gift."
If I can add a little colour, inspiration, and feeling to the world, that makes me happy.
Lizanne's interest is in the human body and all of humanity. Her intuitive work is based on the dream world, lucid thoughts and the 'other side'- an inquiry into the supernatural, spiritual world.
“The subjects of my paintings are diversified and represent the natural world, animals and sometimes everyday objects or scenes painted in my own interpretative and whimsical semi-abstract way. My work reflects happiness, joy and wonderment through design, shapes and colours.”
